About This Project

Establish a statutory transition guarantee providing 80% wage replacement for up to 5 years, portable pension and healthcare benefits, and access to paid retraining programs for workers in fossil-fuel-dependent sectors displaced by energy transition. Financed through a levy on fossil fuel production revenue and paired with place-based industrial policy deploying clean energy investments preferentially in communities with highest fossil fuel employment concentration, addressing the economic geography dimension that purely individual support programs consistently miss.
