About This Project

Establish a dedicated $25 billion agroforestry transition finance initiative to overcome institutional barriers preventing farmer adoption of agroforestry practices. The initiative would: reform agricultural insurance to cover tree components; update land registration systems to accommodate mixed-use agroforestry; create carbon and biodiversity credit standards for agroforestry systems; and provide technical assistance and seedling supply to 100 million smallholder farmers transitioning to agroforestry in priority regions.
